If I were a lot younger, I'd consider a move to Alaska Debra Leisek. When I was in the corporate world I worked in Alaska for a few months installing telephone systems.

You should come visit! You never know you might end up staying. Even winter is beautiful and lots of folks go outside for the 3 coldest months. We do have a bid senior population in Homer. This is where Alaskans retire! Thank you for your service Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend

Morning Debra.

I had some clients move to Alaska about two months ago.  They are living their dream, way too cold for me

Posted by James Dray, Exceptional Agents, Outstanding Results (Fathom Realty) 6 months ago

Good morning Debra. Had neighbors when living in Florida who had previously been life long residents of Alaska. They considered moving back but did not. Enjoy your day!

Debra,

We enjoyed our visit to Alaska, it has to be one of our most beautiful states in the US.  Wishing you a wonderful rest of this long weekend. A

Debra Leisek - Love your ad!!! You never forget the reason why we need to celebrate or the meanings behind the occasion. And you always let us know there is plenty of inventory in Homer plus you're always available to help prospective buyers and sellers.

The poppies and the poem are apropos and extra special. I have a feeling you always make your clients high priority and treat them well too. People who never lived there must thing brrrr... it's a cold, cold place. I'm willing to bet that regardless of temperatures, hearts like yours are always warm.

Debra

Even though I am hooked on Alaska State Troopers, I had to look where Homer was. It is neat that the peninsula has homes on it. My first thought is about some of the nasty sea storms there. Is this area protected from them? cheers cvc

Hello Curtis Van Carter  We are actually a very protected area with Cook Inlet on one side and Kachemak Bay on the other side.  We get all kinds of weather, wind snow rain fog ice but nothing we cant live with nd for the most part we have beautiful days and life is Good!  They call us the banana belt of Alaska because we dont get too cold in the winter.  Its actually a very lovely place to live!  Thank you for stopping by!!

Debra

Thank you so much for this. Sounds like a great place to live. I live in Yountville, often called the heart of the Napa Valley. Great place but we get over run by tourists year round. Bouchon Bakery, of Thomas Keller fame, has a line of at least 20 people during the winter and nearly 100 during the summer all day long. cheers cvc

That is always the problem with living in a beautiful place Other people want to see it during the best weather!  100 people standing in line for baked goods is 95 too many!!  We are like a carnival in normal summers... so many people from all over the world. We are still pretty busy this year and I am very grateful for that in more than one way

Thank you Curtis Van Carter  I really enjoy talking with you!

I know these visitors pay many of our bills but also, the number of cases here doubled from about 230 to 460 over the last 10 days. Many of those in line don't have masks on so I suspect, they are bringing the virus with them.

I first came here in 1972 and opened shops here in 1977. Here is a link to an article that was published in Bay Area Relocation magazine about my journey to here, Thanks for your replies.

Hi Debra Leisek - I can't believe we are nearing the middle of September already. It's as if 2020 spring, summer, and fall never really existed at all. I hope you're doing as well as can be expected. These are difficult times and I hope good things come your way.

Take care!

Hello Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP

We had a year of beautiful weather and that was good for all the hunker down.

Alaska is a little different than many places We social distance normally!

Posted by Debra Leisek ( Bay Realty,Inc Homer Alaska) 2 months ago

You are right Endre Barath, Jr.  I need to post something... I had a couple of good ones in July and they went away! Poof!  But yes I need to get on it and share something worhthwhile  Thank you!!

Posted by Debra Leisek ( Bay Realty,Inc Homer Alaska) 2 months ago

Debra Leisek - Hmmmm.... so hunkering down and social distancing isn't such a bad thing, after all? Humans can adjust. We don't really have to act like we're in a race everday. Well, if I lived in such a beautiful place like Homer, AK, I'm sure I would enjoy it very much. Outsiders coming to Alaska may thing it's cold, but with you Debra, you're warm blooded and always warm and friendly to others. Prospective buyers and sellers can really appreciate you and I do too!
