Vern Needs Our Help!

Many of you know Vern Alberts. He has been a member of our community for a very long time. And as You Know Homer Helps in time of Need!

Vern needs our help. Having fallen on some pretty bad times with health and other issues he is now in need of help to save his home.  We are doing a fundraiser to help him with this.

An account has been started at FNBA #31216591.

There will be a gathering Sunday June 12th at Kachemak Shellfish Growers Oyster Co-op.

A Silent Auction will be held.

Vern has served us all and is a great guy… hopefully you will find it in your heart

to help him get back on his feet and move forward.

Debra how awesome when a community gets together to help their own, how big is the population of Homer? Needless to say I always lived in Metropolitan areas, where this time of community interaction was always foreign to me, until my parents moved to a small town when they got old population 2500 and it was a big lesson for me....Endre

Hello Endre Barath, Jr.   Homer is about 5,000 population.  Living is a small town has its perks and people do really care about each other and do pitch in and help when there is a need. It is remarkable to live in a place where people care. thank you so much!
