Spaghetti Feed for Hospice of Homer and Alaskan Coastal Studies!

Come one Come all for a very Good Cause…

 Homer alaska

Hospice of Homer is one of the very best organizations and touches many lives in many ways. The compassion and care they show the people of our community is priceless.

Right now they are in need of some funds. They have been participating in many fund raisers and have chosen to work with the Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies to have a tasty fulfilling fund raiser! Yes that means food is involved!

Kachemak Bay Masonic Club is sponsoring the Spaghetti Feed Fundraiser

Friday Night January 29, 2016- 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm at the Homer Elks Lodge.

All proceeds benefit Hospice of Homer and Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies.

Tickets are: $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Children 8 and under FREE!

Advance tickets may be purchased by calling Hospice of Homer 235-6899 or Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies 235-6746 or Kachemak Bay Masonic Club 235-3677.

You can also stop by the Hospice office at 265 East Pioneer Ave. Suite 3 to purchase tickets.

Stop in for a  fun meal of spaghetti while supporting Hospice and Coast Studies.

Its okay to donate a little extra while you are there!

Also February 1st at the Hospice Office  You are invited to a book discussion of 'Who Dies: An investigation of Conscious Living and Conscious Dying' by Stephen Levine. The event starts at 6 Pm

This is the first book to show the reader how to open to the immensity of living with death, to participate fully in life as the perfect preparation for whatever may come next. Levine provides calm compassion rather than the frightening melodrama of death. Everyone is welcome to attend!

We are rural like you, Debra. I'm on the board for Habitat for Humanity and I also volunteer with the local animal shelter. We desperately need a new building for the shelter and we are working towards that goal. Great localism post by the way. I  hope you get your funds,. Hospice is a wonderful cause.

Good Luck with getting your Funds for the animal shelter Debbie Laity  it will be so good for the whole community. We did that here too  it was a challenge but well worth it! Small communities have to work together on everything...all the time! it never ends... but one of the reason we love where we live!

I'm a easy target for spaghetti dinners; and the need for hospice is so underserved that I'll have to believe this is a worthy cause.

Good luck in getting the word out.
