Sea Otters Homer Alaska Bay Realty

Sea Otters…. How can anyone resist these adorable guys?  They are just so fun! They were having such a good time floating and rolling around in the water. Pretty sure this is a mom and baby… every once in a while they would cozy up and float together.

I took these photos out on The Homer Spit, Homer Alaska  at a place I like to go and just unwind. I never know what will show up…eagles, people, birds, boats or Sea otters!

Sea Otters are the largest member of the Weasel family and the smallest Marine Mammals.  They are a protected animal now and are no longer commercially harvested.  Sometimes we can have several in the Kachemak Bay floating and playing. Hard to count them as they dive and twirl in the water but I have seen at least 20 to 30 swimming together in the Bay.

Today was a good day to capture this moment…. You  Otter come Sea it for Yourself!

Homer Alaska is a really good place to be!

Sea Otters are among the cutest of critters I know!  Several years ago I had an opportunity to see a number of them at Morro Bay, California.  I took photos, but mine were not as good as your's.

They are darling.  We have them here in our ponds throughout the golf course.  Of course, some of the "old fuddy duddies" petitioned the board to have them removed.  Apparently they eat fish.  Who woudda thought.

Hello Myrl Jeffcoat  They are so cute...and  hard to get shots of cause they wiggle and roll so much... they were content and basking in the sun... and for once it waseasy to get a shot of them!

Chris and Dick Dovorany  But they don't eat Golf Balls! I hope they let them stay! I would think that would add to the fun at the golf course! Thank You!
