Winter Solstice Meets Lunar Eclipse December 20th Anchor Point Alaska

Mother Nature did not let us down tonight!

Winter Solstice Meets Lunar Eclipse December 20th Anchor Point Alaska

The Sky was full of stars and the Moon was the STAR of the night...

Winter Solstice Meets Lunar Eclipse December 20th Anchor Point Alaska

The eclipse was impressive and inspiring...

I wish I could have done a little justice to the beauty in the sky

Winter Solstice Meets Lunar Eclipse December 20th Anchor Point Alaska

But I am happy to have enjoyed the moment and captured just a little of it to share...

Winter Solstice Meets Lunar Eclipse December 20th Anchor Point Alaska

Pretty Sure I won't be here in 2094 to see it again....

I was awake at 2:30 this morning and went out to take a look. It was a magnificent sight becaues the stars were shining like crazy without having to compete with the moon. Wonderful pictures, Debra.

Debra, great photos! We are in the middle of a huge storm, and aren't sure what the moon looks like, it has been over a week without seeing it!

Nice pics, Debra! We were covered in clouds in Las Vegas and didn't get to see any of the eclipse.
