This weekend has been a Moose wonderful time in Anchor Point Alaska

I have been surrounded by moose...

The Momma Moose and her Twins...

And then another Moose with one Baby... very small and very aloof

But the Twins were not shy... they were fighting with my windmill...

Fighting over the drain pipe in the yard

It was very fun to watch them... all the while Mom ate and ate

Then they laid down and made my yard their campground for the night

Hello Jul... moose can be dangerous... but around here they are pretty mellow and as long as you dont get too close you are ok.. these guys were playing and fighting each other.. it was cute.thanks for stopping in.

Hi Debra, Those are some wonderful close ups. Are these considered small ( young) Moose. It is sometimes hard to judge that having no giant adults to compare. Would these be the typical size of most of the Moose population you have seen? Nice detailing.

I've often wondered what would happen if someone decided to saddle up a moose and try riding it like a horse.  As ill-tempered as they can be, that ought to be quite the adventure:-)  Great shots, Debra!

Hey william... yes these are young moose and not very big... they grow fast. They were close so I got some good shots of them... the last one where you see the mother... she is normal sized but not as big as they can get...

Myrl riding them would be a feat for sure! and a wild ride! That would be something to see!

thank you both for stopping by to see my visitors!

Wow!  We don't really have to worry about Moose sightings here in SC, but how wonderful of you to share.
