Summer Solstice! Homer Alaska

Well we are here... Summer Solstice....
The Longest Day...June 21, 2010
Bitter sweet for Alaskans as we start losing Daylight now....
But let's enjoy the Sun and the Moon for now...
These shots were taken from my deck in Anchor Point Alaska at midnight..

The Sunset is over Mt Redoubt
The blue sky is the north of that

And the moon is to the south...
All at the same time!

Debra, Alaska is definitely on my bucket list. I want to experience the midnight sun, the northern lights and your wild life (from a safe distance). Great photos.
Debra, those are just gorgeous! Great photos!
Thanks for sharing such wonderful photos. My son moved to Anchorage last year and my daughter is going up in a few weeks to visit. Lucky her! Have a great week!
Summer Solstice - June 21st, is my favorite day of the year. I love summer and swimming. June 21st, the longest day of the year, ushers that all in! Great photos Debra!
