It is one thing I never have here in South Orange County is a Moose. Nice pics.
Always love your Alaska pics Deborah. While the wildlife can seem harmless they are WILD so it is always a good idea to keep your distance.
Hello Guys! the moose are everywhere right now.! Glad to see they all made it thru the long winter! thanks for checking my site out...
Good Morning Debra,
Very Interesting Photos. Do Moose ever have Antlers? I am guessing not?
Hey William...oh yes the males get very big racks as they say... here is a young bull...
.
Debra,
It sure looks like you will soon be sharing photos of mama moose along with her calf or calves! We have a saying for the wild life here at the Beartooth Nature Center in Red Lodge that "If you care, leave them there!" . I am hoping the person seen standing in front of the car in the second photo, got back in the car as the moose got closer.
That is a good saying... people should give the critters a wide berth.... the moose did turn and get off the road but that guy was there to warn people coming off the hill.... he was actually protecting the moose... the tourists are the ones who get real close trying to get the pictures... thanks Gerry!
Debra - I simply can't get enough of your moose pictures. They are so alien to anything I get to see in my area - they're fascinating!
