Search & Rescue Exercise Ninilchik Alaska
A Search & Rescue (SAR) exercise was held last weekend in the Caribou Hills out of Ninilchik Alaska.
The Homer Alaska Snomads, Caribou Cabin Hoppers, Alaska State Police, Lifemed Helicopters, and Central Emergency Services all participated.
The Snomads, are forming a SAR team so this was a great learning opportunity for them. A rescue scenario was formulated and then several search teams were organized and each team went off to search their area.
The medical team went so far as to bundle up the "hypothermic victim" in the rescue sled and take her back to a nice warm cabin.
Thanks to the Alaska State Police and the Caribou Cabin Hoppers for organizing the exercise! And of course the "Victim"
