Today my home seemed to be the hot spot for moose reunions

Moose in Anchor Point Alaska

There were at least 4 Moose in my yard today.... on both sides....

This one thought she would relax and eat snow for awhile....

She sat there for over an hour before moving on....

Debra, are they scared easily by the approach of humans or dogs?

Hi Debra, Are you raising ( feeding ) these critters. They love your place. So very good close ups. This guy/gal is a lot lighter in color than some I have munching around your place. What fun it must be. BTW, do they just run when see people or are they not so frightened now.

Hello Everyone.. thanks for stopping in... Yes they can eat their weight in bushes and willows and grass.. they are something to watch...very fast once they get going... and they are not too scare of people or dogs... depending on the situation.. they can take a dog on...but wolves pack up on them... people can hurt them too with guns and cars...so they look at you and check you out... they know they are in a safe zone at my place...and the dogs let them be....sometimes they skif off but lots of times they just stand there looking at me... everything changes if babies are involved...

It is not legal or smart to feed them... but i have 10 acres of trees, plants, willows and grass and they love it...

Great photos of the moose reunion.   Thank you for sharing them.   From all the photos you have shared with us, there is no doubt in my mind that the moose enjoy the safety and comfort of the surroundings of your home.
