Hello Debra, those are some great photos!  In a past career I worked for PTI - aka Telephone Utilities in your area with the local telephone service.  I made it several times to Anchorage on business but did not get to travel down the Peninsula.  I always loved this time of year up there.  Thanks!  John

I still have PTI as my server for email.... although it is all ACS now...  You guys should come up and have a visit..Homer is the prettiest part of Alaska... it is beautiful right now... but I bet Vancouver is too!

thanks for visiting the site!

Debra, I like how you include winter as well as summer photos of the same area and view. It really is stunning.

Debra,

What a beautiful part of the world you call home!  Thanks for the photos.  We desert rats sure miss the water, and I miss the Kenai peninsula in particular.  We have dear friends in Cooper Landing.

Thank you Silvia... the winter up here is beautiful with the snow and the sky and mountains... just colder!

Hey Mike... Coopers landing is so beautiful... and lots of good fishing! If you ever visit them, you must come to Homer!

Working out today, one of the ladies had just returned from an Alaskan vacation that included inland trips as well as a cruise.  She was singing the praises of Alaska to all in earshot!  I enjoyed my trip to Fairbanks to take my son to college several years ago, and have heard the cruises are the best!

Hello Cheryl... its all good especially in the summer... next year we have cruises coming into Homer...we love the love boats! but we usually only get 3 or 4 ...next year we are to get 11 tours.. maybe you will be on one! You got to come to Alaska at least once!

Wow, I love the one where the sun looks like a star.  If I hadn't just made your sailboat photo my desktop background, I would definitely use that one.  Hmm, maybe I should do a post on taking advantage of the great photos on AR as background photos.
