Hmm you should message Brad and ask him about that - thats a bummer! And thank you for the kind words on my post! :-)
Debra: I did not take your start, but I certainly be sure to keep my eye out for a stray one shooting around.
Debra,
What an interesting effect when you pair a well known song with well known paintings in one slide show.
Hey You guys are the real stars! Thanks for helping me.. I hate starless nights!
Might just be a glitch in the AR system. At least it was a chance to share a beautiful song with the rest of the Rainers.
Thanks to Jon and John... Don McLean did Vincent proud with that song/tribute to him... such a beautiful song for an Artist who gave so much of his soul to us thru his paintings!
Active Rain has some burps and bubbles when they do a server upgrade. You'll get it back...after the next refresh, or ask DA MAN, Brad!
Debra: I can sense how you feel about losing YOUR star. I lost my star in 1982... and have not recovered yet. And unfortunately, I don't think I ever will. What a sad song... and what a great song. Thanks so much for sharing it.
I hope yours comes back. Take care...
By the way... what a cool thing for your sister Jonna to do. How thoughtful... very, very sweet. (Your sister, not the cupcakes... LOL)
Where is that Brad when you need him? Thanks Vicky and Karen you are funny... some stars we willl never get back Hey?
My sister loved Vincent as young as grade school... she never celebrated her birthday at school...just his... she paints pretty good too!
Debra: Thanks for sharing this video of one of my favorite post-impressionistic and the pioneer of Expressionism, painters, Vincent Van Gogh. As I studied to become an Art teacher, many of my drawings and especially paintings would resemble this painter and the painters of this period, Cezanne, Manet, Monet and Degas.
you are very welcome... he is our favorite too... you and my sister would get along fine!
It could be that you had a featured post and then after reviewing it they decided that the content was not all original.
Now Ralph... I had 2 and they were both all my words and all my pictures.. one about fishing with bears and the other about another day in Paradise... the fishing with bears was in the tomato blog and I was extremely proud of that...it was my first and oh so special... the other one was featured in the Alaskan group and that is an honor because those guys take GREAT pictures... now I am sad....
Debra - I wrote a nice post thanking ActiveRain for my star about a week ago. :) I received it for the ZERO featured posts I had. So much for thanking them since they took it away a couple of days ago. :( They didn't even tell me why but I'll take lots of points as compensation.
However, in your case, you had your star for featured posts and you need to get it back.
Debra, I don't always take the time to click and watch videos but since I like Van Gogh so much, I clicked on yours and heard one of my favorite musical artists, Don McLean. thank you!
Hey Mark.. sorry about your star troubles... I am so new to this I do not know what it all means but I had a star and then poof it was gone... maybe one day you and I will both have our stars back...
Maria thanks for taking the time to look at my post and I know what you mean I love both artists and it is always worthwhile to stop and listen and enjoy that song and music...
Sorry for your loss. A very soulful blog that was a great interlude in a bust day. Remember the lost star is at peace.
Sorry you had a bust Day... not good... but glad the blog could help... I am glad I could help!
