Kachemak Land Trust and the Homer Community Gardens were put to a very good use….
Thanks to Mrs. Maslow organizing her third grade students from West Homer Grade School.
The kids planted the potatoes in the spring and harvest them in the fall.
Some of the bounty will be taken to West Homer and the cafeteria will prepare and serve them to the students.
Most of the crop will go to the food bank.
What a wonderful project for everyone involved to do something so organic and make food
for people who may need an extra hand right now Job Well Done!
